See a live simulcast of the world's first mariachi opera, Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, during Fiesta Fort Worth in Sundance Square. The Fort Worth Opera performances features the legendary Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. Fiesta Fort Worth is a free event celebrating Latino culture and heritage with family activities, mariachi and ballet folklorico performances, and bilingual presentations by prominent community leaders. Bring lawn chairs/blankets for comfortable seating.
Festivities: 5-7 p.m.
Simulcast: 7-10 p.m.

Cruzar la Cara de la Luna (To Cross the Face of the Moon) blends mariachi music with opera to tell a gripping story of a family divided by countries and cultures.
