Easter in the Park and Pooch Parade

Apr 16, 2017 - Apr 20, 2019

Bring a picnic basket and blanket for an afternoon of Easter festivities in Turtle Creek Park hosted by the Turtle Creek Conservancy and the City of Dallas.

Festivities include the famed Pooch Parade, live music by DJ Jennifer Miller, a free Easter Egg Hunt, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny and a variety of food trucks. Steve Kemble and Lee Anne Locken will serve as celebrity emcees again this year.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome (no retractable leashes please). Non-profit animal rescue organizations including: Dallas Animal Services will be on-site with adoptable pets. Recycled Pomeranians & Schipperkes Rescue will also have adoptable dogs to meet, but applications are required for adoption.

Dallas City Hall on the Go truck will be there to provide selected city services such as pet registration, voter registration, permits and more.

Dress your pups in their Sunday best and strut down Turtle Creek Boulevard for the annual Pooch Parade, where prizes for best costume will be awarded in several categories. Registration starts at 1 p.m. and the parade starts at 2 p.m. Registration is $15 per costume entry in advance, $20 at the event. Each (dog) entry must be accompanied by at least one (human) adult. Visit www.classy.org/event/2019-pooch-parade/e224490 to register your dog.
