Participants brave the waves in this cardboard boat race, a fundraiser for the River Legacy Foundation. Amateur boat builders – youth and adult – design, build and navigate boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard. The crafty cardboard creations then sail (or sink) in Hurricane Harbor’s Wave Pool as they compete for a variety of trophies. During the day, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor opens a few select rides, such as the Tornado, Tsunami Surge, Typhoon Twister and Hook’s Lagoon.

Register your boat by April 10 to set sail in this wildly fun event and to get creative with cardboard. Registration fees range from $55 to $90, and include admission tickets.

Advance purchase Regatta admission tickets will be on sale through April 21 at River Legacy Living Science Center for just $6. Event-day tickets are $8 at the gate. Hurricane Harbor is not open to the public, so season passes are not valid admission for this event.
