Two words: Specialty beers. A firkin is a small cask used to condition beer, and brewers love to experiment with all sorts of creative flavors in these batches. Last year' stand out brews utilized fruit, coffee and even Butterfingers candy.

The North Texas Firkin Fest is a celebration of unique Texas craft beer served in traditional casks (or firkins). Now in its second year, the Fest focus is on unique, rare and hard to get beers from craft breweries D-FW and across the state.
