Build-your-own cinnamon rolls is the name of the game at Southlake's Cinnaholic. Oh, that, and the fact that they're vegan. (Shhh ... Owners don't want to scare off those who don't know the right substitutes for milk, butter and eggs can taste great.) They guarantee their rolls are good, really good, for any taste, but if you're specifically looking for animal-product free holiday treats, you're in luck.

Throughout the holidays, you can get build-your-own rolls on-site with frosting flavors like maple syrup and root beer and toppings like fruit, nut and candy. Going to a gathering? Cinnacakes are groupings of 8, 10 or 12 rolls with up to five toppings, and cost from $35-75. Be sure to order early, and always at least 24 hours in advance.

If you're looking to drop names this holiday season, this Preston and Park shop is a three-time champion of Food Network's Cupcake Wars. But, it's not all glitz and glamour. Sweet Arleen's backs up the buzz with boutique quality.

Through December, they are featuring peppermint hot cocoa cupcakes ($3.85) and candy cane bread pudding ($1.75-40, depending on size) in addition to the regular menu. "The cupcake is made up of classic chocolate cake with mini chocolate chips, as well as fresh whipped cream with crushed candy canes on top. The bread pudding offers a decadent twist on the classic candy cane with thin layers of candy canes baked on top of the classic white and black bread pudding, paired with a minty white chocolate sauce," a release says.

Need a custom order? Many of Sweet Arleen's traditional items can be made gluten free, sugar free or available in miniature size.
