S is for 'Sesame Street' pop-up tour, which comes to Arlington on April 21

Sesame Street is taking the show on the road. The fan favorite will tour through Arlington on Saturday, April 21.

"F is for Friends" is a mall tour that uses themes from the 48th season of the children's television show.  Fans and their families will be able to meet and greet characters; visit Cookie Monster's food truck; sing along during a 15-minute performance from featuring Elmo and Abby Cadabby with stories and songs about friends; and engage in other activities.

The event is free and will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Parks Mall at Arlington, 3811 S. Cooper St., Arlington.

The tour is scheduled to visit 10 cities. It started in Seattle in early February and will end in Atlanta on May 12.

Other cities on the itinerary include Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago and Miami.

It's a come-and-go event; the performance will be repeated throughout the day at Dick's Court inside the mall.
