Look inside a literal winter wonderland: Grapevine's family-friendly 'ICE!' exhibit 2017

Nine degrees. That's chilly, especially in Texas. But toss on a coat and some gloves, and you and your kids will hardly notice the below-freezing temps at the ICE! exhibit in Grapevine.

The exhibit houses a cool 2 million pounds of ice in a 14,000-square-foot arena inside the Gaylord Texan hotel in Grapevine. Traipse through the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas exhibit and see the ice-children, nestled all snug in their beds. Shake those visions of sugarplums as you fly down one of the slides made of ice. (They can be speedy!)

Along the way, be sure to admire the impressive handiwork of the 40 artists from China who carved each sculpture.

ICE! opens Nov. 10, 2017 and runs through Jan. 1, 2018 at the Gaylord Texan, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine. Kids 3 and under are free. $12.99-$32.99 per person; pricing here. gaylordtexantickets.com.
