So, yep, you can take last year's coupons, or the coupons from long before that, and they will be valid anytime you visit the State Fair of Texas, now or in the future.

These coupons are like the forever stamps of the State Fair of Texas.

In 2021, the State Fair of Texas increased the price of each coupon from 50 cents to $1. With that change, they will allow all old coupons to be valued at $1 — even though you paid 50 cents.

“You just doubled your money,” says Mitchell Glieber, president of the State Fair of Texas.

So next time you’re ambling out of the State Fair of Texas on closing weekend, with just seven coupons in hand, you don’t have to waste them on a game at the Midway or buy a random bottle of water for the drive home. Stash ’em in a drawer, try not to forget they’re there, and pull out those coupons in the fall of next year. They’re worth something!
