Get inspired when gospel takes over the main stage on Thursday at State Fair of Texas

Gospel will grace the Chevy Main Stage of the State Fair of Texas for the second year in a row during the "Night of Inspiration , Gospel and Unity" on Thursday, Oct. 20.

Award-winning singer Travis Greene, who performed at the GMA Dove Awards earlier this month, is the headliner.  Greene received a nomination for New Artist of the Year.

While he may be the highlight along with rapper Da'T.R.U.T.H., the added attractions are filled with Texas stars, including BET's Sunday Best finalist Andrea Helms of Denton. Dallasites Angela Blair, Dean Mills, Candy West, Michael Bethany and Megan Ramos are also on the bill.

Cassandra Cleveland Robertson, who competed on NBC's The Voice last year, is also scheduled to perform. Many may remember Robertson more from when sang lead on "Silver and Gold" on seminal gospel CD Kirk Franklin and the Family. She has a new single out, "Hold On," that will be available at the show.

Darius Scott also competed on The Voice last year. His blind audition was made even more memorable when he chose coach Pharrell Williams because of he had a N.E.R.D. tattoo.

No gospel celebration would be complete without a choir. With members from throughout North Texas, A Multicultural Unity Choir will also perform.

The red carpet will start at 4:15 p.m. The first show is scheduled to kick off at 5:15. The second show will start at 8:30.

With this concert leading up to the end of this year's edition of the State Fair, Big Tex is setting up to send you out right with some happy feelings.
