Texas quarterback Hudson Card is planning to transfer, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Card started five games at Texas, with three of his starts coming this season after starting quarterback Quinn Ewers went down with an injury against Alabama on Sept. 10. The Lake Travis product threw for 928 yards and six touchdowns this year.

Card enrolled at Texas in January 2020 and made his Texas debut against UTEP in the 2020 season opener. He was on the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 First Team and has made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll five times. Card ends his Texas career with 1,523 yards passing and 11 touchdowns.
