If the Stars’ second-round series returns to American Airlines Center next week, the team is set for a rare early start time in the playoffs.
The NHL announced Thursday that Game 5 of the Stars-Avalanche series will take place at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 15, if necessary. It would be the Stars’ first 7 p.m. home start of the playoffs.
The game will be televised on ESPN in the U.S. and Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada.
The Stars need to win at least one game to guarantee the series will return to Dallas next week.
The NHL still has not announced a time for the guaranteed Game 4 matchup between Dallas and Colorado in Denver on Monday. That time will likely depend on the Eastern Conference schedule. Monday’s game will be on ESPN.
