Mavericks’ Luka Doncic says courtside Thunder fan was ‘going at my family’

Throughout the game, Doncic also dealt with some fans heckling him with “Luka sucks” chants.

Luka Doncic has taken issue with some fans in Oklahoma City.

Following the Mavericks’ 119-110 win over the Thunder in Game 2, Doncic said a courtside fan was talking about his family during the game.

“There was one guy courtside going at my family. I don’t like that,” Doncic said. “You’re a grown-a-- man, you just can’t do that.”

Throughout the game, Doncic dealt with fans heckling him with “Luka sucks” chants, which Kyrie Irving encouraged because it motivates the whole team, as seen in a SportsCenter video.

Doncic got the last laugh, finishing the game with 29 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while shooting 11-of-21 from the floor and 5-of-8 from three after struggling in Game 1.

At one point, he knocked down a turnaround midrange jumper over the Thunder’s Luguentz Dort and yelled,” Luka what?!”

“He loves it,” P.J. Washington said after the game of Doncic. “I mean, he’s used to it. Pretty much everybody does it so it’s every game for him. And he’s just being himself out there.”

Doncic and Irving also had to deal with a heckling Thunder fan in Game 1 on Tuesday. The NBA issued the fan a warning for the interaction.
