It took a month for Brook Davis to take his 15-year-old daughter Collete seriously, when she came to him and proclaimed she wanted to race carts. Once he bought her a used cart for an early graduation present there was no looking back.
Now at 22, Collete Davis is in her second year of racing in the Red Bull Global Rallycross circuit. She traded in her cart for a Ford Fiesta sponsored by River Racing. Collete is the only female driver on the GRC circuit this year and she hopes to drive in the Supercar class one day.
You can see both GRC Lites and Supercars racing this weekend for the first time in South Dallas at the Red Bull Global Rallycross. Qualifying races began Friday, June 3, followed by a full day of racing on Saturday, June 4. Details here.
