The Women's World Cup is in full swing, and Dallas doesn't play around when it comes to major sporting events. We've compiled a hefty list of bars and pubs in D-FW where fans of soccer (or football, the more globally recognized term for the beloved sport) can have a few beers and watch the matches.

[ Update, July 3: The U.S. team is in the championship match Sunday against Japan, so we've added a couple more places to this list. ]

Granada Theater

Our hometown MLS team FC Dallas is hosting its official watch party for the championship match at the Granada Theater. Organizers say they expect a big crowd, so get there early. This event is 21-and-up only. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Staggering Irishman

Staggering Irishman

The official U.S. national team fan club of our area, the Dallas American Outlaws, hosts all its soccer-viewing parties at this North Dallas pub. When a place has 13 flat-screen plasma TVs and a 120-inch projector screen, you know they mean business.

Also, the drinks are only $1 during their happy hour, which means drinks galore while you're waiting for Friday's USA vs. Sweden match to start.

The Trinity River Tap House

If you plan on coming here to catch any Women's World Cup match, you better plan on getting to this Fort Worth drafthouse ASAP; hundreds of people attend the games (particularly the USA ones) and you'll want to get in on the action. The taphouse -- formerly known as Pour House -- is continuing its 20-year tradition of showing the matches and you'll be able to sample all their beer selections, which depend on the day's specials.

The atmosphere may be tense, considering that the British pub will be hosting USA games, but fans can come and watch any match they please, while enjoying a nice order of their famed fish and chips. During the games, there is also happy hour and tequila promotions going on, but only at the flagship location in Addison, so get your shots on and watch some women's soccer.

Trinity Hall

Trinity Hall

Located in Mockingbird Station, the soccer-crazed Irish pub draws big, big crowds for the matches. All games will be shown, so this is the place to be to grab some drinks and enjoy the matches. Trinity Hall is all about Team USA, but don't be surprised if you see fans of other teams congregating here.

While they do plan on showing all the games, but FYI if you're a hard-core fan: The audio will not be turned up, as to not disturb the other bar patrons. However, if the U.S. makes the knockout rounds, the pub plans on hosting big events and parties. Keep up with them on Facebook for details, and watch here for our updates.

Community Beer Company

The brewery is hosting watch parties at its taproom in downtown Dallas. For the semifinal match, doors open at 5 p.m. Bonus: If you wear USA or Community gear, your first  beer is on the house. God bless America!

PhD Pour House Dallas

PhD (aka Pour House Dallas)

At this Oak Cliff sports bar, all games are shown but only the matches featuring Team USA will have audio played in the bar and on the patio. Arrive as early as possible because it can get crowded here for the games.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Get your soccer with a side of wings at this sports bar chain. Be warned, though: If the NBA finals go to game six, BWW's will be broadcasting the audio from that instead of USA vs. Nigeria, which is also Tuesday evening.

When does Team USA play?

Sunday, July 5:  Championship match, vs. Japan, 6 p.m.
