Fun things to do at RoughRiders baseball games in Frisco

When you have a hankering for some friendly competition and the great outdoors, nothing satisfies like a baseball game.

The GuideLive crew recently took a road trip to the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, home of the RoughRiders. The stadium boasts amenities for adults and kids alike, such as the pool zone in the outfield -- yes, you can actually swim in it! -- and playgrounds with slides and bounce houses.

We ate our way through the food stands and hung out with some of the players and mascots.

Meeting up with local radio DJ and Twitter personality Michael Gruber, who is the official Ambassador of Fun for Thirsty Thursdays at the ballpark, a.k.a. Groovy Grubesdays. On Thirsty Thursdays, you can get $1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft beers and $1 Dr Pepper products from 6-8 p.m.
