Get your threads on the go at this fashion truck

Imagine a food truck without the grease vats, but maybe selling haute couture hats.

Yes, ladies: For those fast-paced workdays when you feel like hell on heels, you can now shop away those feelings -- on wheels, at Shop Haute Wheels.

Best friends Kelly Mijares Aguilar and Abby Elstad are bringing Dallas into the era of the fashion truck. Imagine layer upon delicious layer of camisoles, blouses, cardigans, and much more. What's in store -- or on the Shop Haute Wheels bus -- changes frequently, and the bus is always on the run, showing up at plenty of food truck meet-ups or local bars and restaurants.

Aguilar and Elstad were catching up over a food truck lunch one day when the idea hit them to "bring the runway to the roadway." They've already had a lot of success selling trendy new designers like Ark & Co., LoveRiche, Wells Grace, PPLA, Dex, Vintage Havana, Cecio and quite a few more.

Apparently they're also on trend in the business world. Entrepreneur recently reported a rise in the number of mobile retail businesses, and anyone who knows Dallas' Front Door Fashion knows that any truck or van can become a runway event that delivers personalized style and even closet consultations to your home.

All of what's offered by Shop Haute Wheels is under $100 per item and presented in a most adorable fashion. You'd never believe that the big and beautiful, jewel-toned fashion truck was once a retirement community shuttle bus. The inside resembles a chic boutique. The outside says glamming out of control.

If you haven't run out the door with your credit card yet, Aguilar has three reasons to shop on wheels.

Low overhead

"The cost of running our boutique on wheels is significantly lower than a brick and mortar location." said Kelly. "We are able to offer our customers lower prices. In fact, you'll never find anything at Shop Haute Wheels priced over $100."

Convenience

"We travel to local bars, restaurants, office buildings and more, which takes the hassle out of having to go out of your way to shop. We are where you are." said Kelly. If you're a fan of The Dame's Dinner Club at The Standard Pour on Wednesdays, you may have noticed her big glam bus.

Private parties

Think girls' nights, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, book clubs, wine clubs, and-hey, if you can dream it, Kelly might do it. "We even reward event hostesses with shopping gift cards worth 10 percent of the total sales from any booked events." she said.
