The New Year is here, and you know what that means: A new season of The Bachelor. What, is that not what you were thinking?

Beginning Jan. 7, viewers will follow Colton Underwood on his journey to find love among 30 single ladies, and it's sure to be an adventure. Anyone who followed The Bachelorette last season knows it already has been.

Colton was one of the contestants vying to put a ring on bachelorette Becca Kufrin's finger, but their relationship was fraught with drama from the start. You see, he had already dated Becca's friend and cohort on The Bachelor, Tia Booth, and when that couple reunited on Bachelor in Paradise over the summer, they swung from on again to off again to on again before their relationship eventually went down in flames. And tears. So many tears.

Combine all this with the fact that Colton is a proud virgin and Monday nights are poised to be so juicy, you might as well consider it a weekly cleanse.

Four North Texas women are in the running to become Colton's six-week fiancee. Here are the locals to watch.

What 28-year-old says their employment status is "Cinderella"? Meet Erin Landry of Plano. She currently works for her stepmother's home improvement business and loves ballroom dancing, which is what we think the whole glass slipper reference is about. Otherwise, she's basic as can be with a love of pumpkin spice lattes, New York City at Christmastime, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Demi Burnett

Well, she's certainly not the most famous Demi from D-FW, but Demi Burnett proudly reps her hometown of Red Oak. According to her bio, the 23-year-old loves fishing, WWE, and ATVing, and she aspires to be the first petite Victoria's Secret Angel ... because those models aren't small enough. She's also apparently been evicted more than once and is already being deemed the villain of the season.

Onyeka Ehie offers a welcome pop of color to another all-too-white Bachelor cast. According to her show bio, the 24-year-old's parents are originally from Nigeria and got married just two weeks after they met. So maybe the show's timeline isn't too much of a stretch. Though she grew up in Kansas, Ehie currently works as an IT risk consultant in Dallas and loves Cheez-Its.

Laura Pellerito

Not to be confused with a "Lauren," Laura Pellerito is originally from El Paso, where Spanish was her first language. According to her bio, her most embarrassing fashion blunder was an "emo phase" in high school. (Relatable.) She's currently 24 years old and resides in Dallas as an accountant.
