Dallas-area singles wanted for reality TV show 'Married at First Sight'

Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico met and married in almost the same minute on docuseries Married At First Sight. They're still married today.

That's been the hope of participants in the reality TV series for five seasons now. And now, the show is making eyes at adventurous Dallas-area singles willing to say "I do" to any Tom, Dick or Harry.

Aspiring marrieds can email mafsdallas@gmail.com or apply by filling out an extensive questionnaire at mafsdallas.castingcrane.com.

Eligibility requirements include "single." Other, more nebulous qualifications include "brave," "ready to find the love of your life" and "appear between 26 to 35." Perhaps the most realistic one is "exhausted all dating options."

"We are currently casting singles in the Dallas area who are brave enough to trust our panel of experts to help them find 'the one'," reads a release from Kinetic Content. The L.A. production company is also involved in Little Women: Dallas and other shows.

On the show, a panel that includes a sociologist, a relationship expert and a marriage counselor  use "scientific matchmaking" to put together couples, who then meet for the first time at the altar. It's a social experiment that's not for the faint of heart, as the series hopefully follows couples through to a  happily ever after.

The couples live together for eight weeks. And then they have to decide whether to stay married. Or not, which would explain spin-off Married at First Sight: Second Chances.

Married at First Sight airs on Lifetime, where it moved for its fifth season that used Chicago as its matchmaking base.
