Watch: Two McKinney singers make it past blind auditions on 'The Voice'

The Voice premiered its ninth season last week, and on Monday night's episode, and two local artists made it through the blind auditions. In fact, both hail from McKinney.

Madi Davis, 16, has an interesting back story: She suffered significant hearing loss as a child, then had reconstructive surgery and found a love for singing. On the show, Davis performed Carole King's hit "It's Too Late." Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams put up a big fight for Davis' talent, but she ultimately went with Team Pharrell.

The second McKinney singer is Cassandra Robertson, who unfortunately didn't get much screen time. According to her bio on The Voice's site, Robertson has had success as a backup vocalist for artists including Celine Dion, Barry Manilow and Patti LaBelle. She performed Ella Henderson's "Ghost."
