Owen Wilson's 'wow' is famous. Even Australians can imitate it?

Wow. Owen Wilson's throaty, one-syllable utterance lasts way too long, getting stuck on the "ah" like he's Kermit the Frog. You know it:

Now picture gaggles of Australians trying to mimic one of Dallas' best-known actors, Wilson, saying "wow." It's pretty funny.

On Feb. 26 in Melbourne, Australia, hundreds of Australians repeated Wilson's "wow" (in lovely American accents) at an event called Say Wow like Owen Wilson.

Wow, but why? Twenty-one-year-old Australian student Nicolas Zoumboulis created the event and also runs the Facebook group Owen Wilson Wowposting. You could call it his interest in Wilson's "wow" a hobby, perhaps.

"Ultimately I just really want to put some 'positive energy', as Owen likes to say, out into the world," he told The Independent. Well, it sure made us laugh.

Wilson stars in Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums and Wedding Crashers and was raised in Dallas. Check out 10 things you didn't know about Owen Wilson.
