New star of 'The Bachelor' is leaning on this Dallasite for advice

Arie Luyendyk Jr. may not be a household name yet, but as the next star of The Bachelor's new season, he's about to be.

The 36-year-old former racecar driver was a contestant on The Bachelorette in 2012, the same season Dallasite Sean Lowe competed before eventually being named the next titular bachelor. That's why it's no surprise Luyendyk leaned on his old pal for advice throughout his journey to find a fiance.

"Sean has been a great example for me and I really lean on him and [his wife] Catherine for their advice," Luyendyk said in a conference call with members of the press Thursday.
