The Joker is back, no foolin'

The Joker's coming back, in a big way. Martin Scorsese signed on to produce an origin story movie about the iconic villain, but the actor is still unknown -- though it won't be Jared Leto. The film is reportedly not intended to be your standard-issue DC movie, but, as it's set in early-'80s Gotham City, more like a Scorsese film from that era. Think Taxi Driver vibes.

In case you don't feel like sleeping for the next week, you can hit up a clown-only screening of Itbased on Stephen King's classic horror novel, on Sept. 9 in Austin. Lucky (?) for those of us in the D-FW area, there will be a slightly more subdued version in Richardson featuring photo ops with Pennywise and clown face painters.

Both girl-group Fifth Harmony and country band Old Dominion released new albums on Aug. 25, and fans of each want that No. 1 spot on iTunes. This is the first album for Fifth Harmony since they went down to four members.
