Watch: Elvis impersonator surprises DART commuters with songs, breakfast

Today would have been Elvis Presley's 81st birthday, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit honored the King -- and early morning passengers -- with a little unexpected fun. An impersonator greeted riders at Union Station from 6 to 7 a.m. before DART-ing over to Mockingbird Station for a second appearance. He sang, posed for selfies and offered up free doughnuts to hungry commuters.

Friday afternoon, "after sleeping off his favorite peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich," a release says, he'll be at DFW Airport Station at Terminal A from 4 to 6 p.m.

Check out the scene from this morning:

Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the station.
