So ... I'm back. From the Hip returned this week and there was so much to unpack.

I admit I actually wrote down a list of topics I wanted to hit with this edition of the podcast. But then Beyonce unveiled her twins and confirmed their names and then her husband Jay-Z (hyphen back unscathed) unveiled his new album and threw off the blanket that was vacuum sealed around their union. We got caught up.

News intern TyLisa Johnson joined me as co-host.

TyLisa and I share many things:  strong hair, minds, opinions. And we're FAMUly, too. So it was quite the affair.

She also worked on the story of Shavon Randle, the 13-year-old girl found murdered after being kidnapped from her aunt's house. Because of a theft of drugs she had nothing to do with. We felt the need to deal with it, in the way we know how.

We talked.

We hope you talk back, too, as you listen on iTunes and AudioBoom.
