Mixed Media: David Bowie, 'Making a Murderer' and The Wild Detectives turns 2

On the new Mixed Media Podcast: The passing of David Bowie came as a shock to music fans, largely because he hid his illness so well. We bring in Robert Wilonsky to reminisce over the shape-shifting pop star's 1983 show at Reunion Arena, and we look at Bowie's lasting impact. He was a human shelter for outcasts and misfits, the rock star who told us it was glorious to be weird.

Next, we dive into Making a Murderer, the Netflix true crime phenomenon that has everyone talking - about crime and punishment, about guilt and innocence, and scapegoating and social class. Along with the Serial podcast, Murderer has changed the way we see and think about crime procedurals.

Finally, we check in with The Wild Detectives, Dallas' favorite little independent book store/coffee and beer joint/cultural hangout. Joining us is Detectives co-owner Javier Garcia del Moral.
