A historic brick warehouse near the railroad tracks in McKinney has been transformed into a comfortable bar and restaurant spotlighting some of the best local beef around. No wonder: The owner is Matt Hamilton, the rancher behind Local Yocal butcher shop. Go for the barbecue at lunch and the Southern-inflected menu at dinner; chef Adam West brings a nuanced touch to both, from succulent, black-crusted barbecue brisket to smoke-tinged chicken-fried steak, pimento cheese and the craveable LOYO burger.
