Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge

The Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, formerly the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, received $8.3 million in improvements as part of the the Trinity River Corridor restoration in Dallas. New are shaded seating areas, a playground, bocce ball court, a life-size chess board and checkers tables. Xeriscape-style landscaping includes vines trained to grow up poles onto trellises that will eventually provide shade. The bridge provides an up-close look at the Margaret Hill Hunt Bridge and Trinity River as well as easy access to Trinity Groves.
