Juneteenth weekend is about celebrating peace, freedom and diversity. Historically, Juneteenth represents the celebration of emancipation, the end of slavery in the United States.

This past weekend, the cities of DeSoto, Lancaster, Cedar Hill and Duncanville came together to put on Best Southwest, a Juneteenth Celebration full of food, fun, music, crafts and more. People sang, danced and celebrated freedom.
