Woman’s death investigated as homicide after body found in South Dallas home

The woman was found in a home in the 3200 block of Reed Lane.

A Dallas woman’s death that was initially being investigated as “unexplained” has been ruled a homicide, police said Thursday.

Officers responded about 7 am. Monday to a home in the 3200 block of of Reed Lane near Electra Street and found the body of 43-year-old Lakeisha Simpson.

The medical examiner ruled Tuesday that Simpson “died from homicidal violence,” police said.
