Woman fatally shot inside her car in east Oak Cliff; Dallas police ask for public’s help

The department released images of two men suspected of being gunmen in the crime and a blue Mazda car sought in connection with the shooting.

A woman was fatally shot inside her car early Saturday in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police said. Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify two people in connection with the shooting.

About 12:30 a.m., officers arriving on a shooting call in the 4400 block of South Marsalis Avenue, near Ann Arbor Avenue, found 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson shot in a parking lot, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue came, but the woman died from her injuries.

Investigators found that Johnson was inside her car when two people fired multiple times into the vehicle. The gunmen fled south on Marsalis, police said.
