Drake brought fireworks, Ferraris and fresh sounds to his concert in Dallas

Drizzy is in Dallas, y’all. And he’s been hanging out for more than just his two concerts this week at the American Airlines Center.

The rapper and singer, who recently inspired the viral trend the KiKi Challenge, was spotted with musician Kali Uchis at Bomb Factory on Tuesday night. People have been running into his mom around town, according to posts on social media.

It’s great to see that Drake feels at home in Dallas, because Big D has a lot of love for Drake. The first night of the Aubrey and The Three Migos tour at American Airlines Center on Wednesday night had a packed crowd that stood up and danced for much of the concert, even for Drake’s slow jams.

After an opening set from Atlanta trio Migos, the crowd erupted in screams as Drake was levitated up on the stage that transformed into a creative visual display of a netted screen. It’s clear that in this tour, Drake is taking his performance production very seriously. His stage set featured innovative visuals from LED lights to fireworks and holograms.

Throughout his nearly two-hour show, Drake somehow managed to pack in more than 40 of his tracks, most of which were from Scorpion, but he also featured some from Views, More Life, Nothing Was the Same, Take Care and even So Far Gone. Migos popped back on stage mid-show for a performance of "Walk It, Talk It" and other songs. I was kinda expecting a '70s theme performance as a nod to their music video, but they did not do a throwback for the song.

Fans have been enjoying more than 10 years of Drake. And he’s kept up the momentum as a commercially successful rapper. Still, I had some questions after his performance:

How did he do that Ferrari trick?

One of the most over-the-top stunts in the show included levitating a Ferrari over the crowd. It looked so realistic that I wondered if it was actually a car or just one of the holograms used throughout the show. Either way, there was so much about this show that was technologically impressive for the rapper.

Why he gotta lie and try to make Dallas feel special or something?

Drake nearly had me fooled when he performed a medley of fan favorites that he said he had cut up just for Dallas. But really it's something he's been doing for all his fans along his tour. I wanted to feel like he brought out So Far Gone jams exclusively for Texas fans, like when he performed "HYFR."

What’s next for him?

Could AT&T Stadium be Drake’s next local concert venue? He had a packed house at American Airlines Center, where he performs again Thursday night, Sept. 27. His stop in Dallas comes before three nights of performances in Houston this weekend.

What will his next album or project be?

He told fans near the show's closing that he's going back to the studio as soon as his Scorpion tour is over. Some outlets reported that Drake is featured on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V, which is exciting news. Personally, I miss their music collaborations from around 2009, when their partnership was at its strongest.

So, Drake, are you dating an 18-year-old, or nah?

Rumors started to spread on social media and entertainment sites that the rapper was dating 18-year-old model Bella B. Harris. But at this concert, Drake was talking about being a single man in Dallas. What's going on?
