'When I was really skinny, I wanted to kill myself': Kelly Clarkson clarifies and explains

Kelly Clarkson shared the heartbreaking news with Attitude magazine: "When I was really skinny, I wanted to kill myself."

The winner of Season 1 of American Idol says that in the mid-2000s, she was "at the gym all the time" and was "miserable."

Clarkson hopped back into the conversation on Tuesday, Oct. 24 to clarify. "I wasn't ever miserable because I had to be thin," she tweeted. "I said I was miserable and as a result I became thin."
