DJ Kristian Nairn, a.k.a. Hodor from 'Game of Thrones,' brings the beats to Dallas this fall

Hodor the friendly giant may not be returning to Game of Thrones this season, but the actor who played him will be coming to Dallas for an encore later this year.

Kristian Nairn, who is also a world-renown house and techno DJ, is scheduled to perform at the Lizard Lounge in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Oh, you didn't know Hodor was a musician? Where have you been?

Nairn began playing music when he was 3 years old, starting with piano and eventually graduating to guitar and the DJ decks. In fact, before he embarked on his mission to "hold the door," the native Irishman was touring alongside acts such as the Scissor Sisters and Calvin Harris.

Trust us, he's no faux celebrity DJ.

In 2016, Nairn performed in Dallas shortly after his character was killed off Game of Thrones. The concert, deemed the Rave of Thrones, was supposed to take place at The Door (fitting) and then Lizard Lounge. But tickets sold out so quickly, it was moved to the 4,300-person venue the Bomb Factory.

GuideLive contributor Hunter Johnson said the event appeased Game of Thrones fans with details like a life-size Iron Throne, while also showcasing Nairn's talent outside his beloved character.

Nairn's concert in September is not being billed as the Rave of Thrones, though there will be some Game of Thrones elements, says to Josh Smith, co-founder/owner of promotions company Banjos to Beats. Last year, White Walkers made an appearance and fake snow fell from the venue's ceiling before the headlining set. Costumes are also highly encouraged.

Tickets to see Kristian Nairn at Lizard Lounge cost $20-$34.50 for general admission and $39.50-$44.50 for VIP, depending on when you buy. They are now on sale.
