Erykah Badu is joining the circus -- sort of

Erykah Badu will make her debut as a circus performer to help Lone Star Circus celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The songstress will join the circus during a fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.

She'll sing, too. But plans are for the music icon to become an aerialist for the night. Badu has been learning to perform on the lyra, an aerial ring, at Lone Star Circus School.

She's hosting the Soul Train Awards for the second time in a row; the show is scheduled to air on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. after being filmed on Nov. 6.

Vinyl versions of her most seminal records -- Baduizm and Mama's Gun -- were released at the end of October for the first time in their entirety. And her 2015 mixtape, But You Cain't Use My Phone, will be released on vinyl for the Record Store Day Black Friday event on Nov. 25.

Badu's participation will definitely help the fundraiser called "Bravo!" be one-of-a-kind. The event will be at 7 for Parties, 150 Turtle Creek Blvd., Suite 107 in the Dallas Design District.
