Gwen Stefani trades reality TV for summer concert tour, with stop in Dallas

Considering her role on acclaimed television show The Voice, it's unfair to say Gwen Stefani "left" the music world. She did, however, table creating her own music for several years and is now making a comeback with This is What the Truth Feels Like, her first solo record in a decade, which came out March 18. And true to form, she's taking the album on the road this summer.

Stefani stops at Dallas' Gexa Energy Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 13 with supporting act Eve, whose recent projects include Ice Cube-led comedy Barbershop: The Next Cut.

While Stefani's new album has been talked about, the chatter pales in comparison to her high-profile, double-divorce romance with The Voice co-star Blake Shelton. (Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys are reportedly joining the judges table in place of Stefani and Pharrell Williams next season.) Hollywood sources have been feeding the likes of Us Weekly and OK! Magazine details about their relationship, including Shelton's apparent intentions to propose soon.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Stefani said she's "for sure" in love with Shelton and the relationship has inspired her most recent songwriting.

"Instead of being closed off, I’m thinking about positivity and how I can do something creative," Stefani told the pub. "I’m just doing what I want to do. It’s so incredible to be in that zone. I’m always looking for the next song, and now I don’t have to be insecure or write about heartache."
