Concert news: Steely Dan, Steve Winwood coming to Dallas' AAC in June

When the classic experimental rock outfit Steely Dan rolled through the area on a joint tour with Elvis Costello last July, Donald Fagan and company stuck to the material that made 'em famous. Robert Wilonsky summed it up perfectly in his review, "No acknowledgement of the two records made in the last 15 years. The hits and nothing but."

That could change a tad when Steely Dan comes back to Dallas, this time with the equally respected Steve Winwood as its opening act. The tour announcement that went out this morning definitely makes mention of Steely Dan's 2000 and 2003 records.

Regardless of what fans hear, the potential for a visually spectacular arena production is great: "The Dan Who Knew Too Much" tour will arrive at American Airlines Center on June 22. Tickets will go on sale at livenation.com starting February 26 at noon.
