After one famous year in D-FW, ACM Awards moves back to Las Vegas

The 50th anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards brought nearly every big-name country singer of the moment to AT&T Stadium in Arlington in April 2015. Seriously: Hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan welcomed George Strait, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Kelly Clarkson, Florida Georgia Line and many more to our little (big) stadium.

Even Tony Romo and Taylor Swift were there. The show broke a Guinness Record for highest attendance at an awards show broadcast.

But that was one awards show, moved to the home of the Dallas Cowboys so the ACM Awards could throw a one-time, country megafest that will go down in history. The ACM Awards announced this week that the 51st awards show will return to Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Bryan returns as a host, but he'll be joined by Dierks Bentley instead of Shelton.

It's Bryan's fourth consecutive year hosting the ACM Awards; it's Bentley's first.

"If we have half as much fun hosting together as we do backstage, it's going to be a great night," Bentley said of hosting with Bryan, in a statement.
