As Swift accepted her award for Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me" at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West pulled the microphone away from her to tell the crowd he believed Beyonce's "Single Ladies" should have won.

Swift sweetly recounted the experience: "I was standing onstage, and I was really excited because I'd just won the award, and then I was really excited because Kanye West was onstage," she told People. "And then I wasn't excited anymore after that."

She's plenty famous without Spotify's help. "Music is art, and art is important and rare," she explained. She just shook it off, I guess you could say, and kept making music.
