'Listening' Episode 3: Garth Brooks' meaning, a chat with Lera Lynn, the voice and music of Dallas rapper Lord Byron

Time again to grab them 'phones. The theme of the third episode of my  music podcast is individuality. It covers three unique artists -- a superstar, an up-and-coming singer, and an innovative Dallas rapper.

I start by discussing Garth Brooks before his big seven-show run later this week at American Airlines Center. You'll hear a few clips from songs that define the best-seller. Then, you'll eavesdrop on a thoughtful conversation with the singer Lera Lynn, whose lonely tunes and beautiful voice gave the second season of True Detective an extra layer of sadness. Lastly, you'll enjoy a music-and-voice collage focused on Dallas rapper Lord Byron and his forward-thinking new album Digital Crucifixion
