Seeing Bob Dylan live could require a short road trip and some slot machine money

Bob Dylan has given his fans a lot to chew on lately. First there was the release of Shadows in the Night, a left-turn album full of Sinatra-era standards (read our review). Then there was the wide-ranging MusiCares Person of the Year speech, during which he referenced the old chestnut "Deep Ellum Blues," among other things.

And now Dylan is taking his show on the road once again, hitting 20 towns in April and May. Will he bring the Shadows in the Night tour to Dallas, you ask? Maybe an elegant evening at the Winspear? Uh, no, not this time around.

The closest stop for this leg of the tour will happen Saturday, May 2, just north of us at WinStar World Casino and Resort. Not a huge inconvenience - after all, you can always stay and play a few slot machines after the show. Tickets go on sale here on February 27.
