Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, the rapidly growing movie theater company that has maintained an indie edge, is opening in North Richland Hills on April 25. The theater will be Alamo's first in Tarrant County and sixth in Dallas-Fort Worth.

"Since opening the first Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Richardson in 2013, it has always been our goal to one day open a theater on the Tarrant County side of D-FW," says Alamo Drafthouse North Texas CEO Bill DiGaetano in a statement. He lives in North Tarrant County.

The April 25 opening date was timed to coincide with the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, a long-awaited superhero movie. Leaked video footage is spinning Marvel fans into a tizzy, reports The Verge.

As the theater's name suggests, the new Alamo in North Richland Hills will have a drafthouse called Vetted Well. A bar by that same name is located in many of the other local Alamo Drafthouses.

Perks of the new, eight-screen movie theater are recliners, a larger kids menu and a private party room. The Austin-born movie house will maintain a strict no-talking, no-texting policy during films.

Movie tickets for North Richland Hills films go on sale at 3 p.m. April 17. Customers will find food 25% off April 25 through May 5 and 10% off May 3 through 9.

Alamo Drafthouse's D-FW team currently operates movie theaters in Richardson, Lake Highlands, the Cedars, Irving and Denton. A theater in Frisco is coming soon.
