Women Texas Film Festival and the Texas Theatre team up for a showcase of female filmmaking

Directed By: Women Behind the Camera offers horror, comedy and more

Kudos to the Texas Theatre and the Women Texas Film Festival for joining forces to present a special month-long series, Directed By: Women Behind the Camera. It opened last weekend but runs through April 27. And some of the really fun stuff happens this weekend — especially if you're a horror fan. 

For example, you can catch the buzzy thriller The Wind on Sunday, April 7 at 6 p.m.

If you're looking for a little Saturday Night Live nostalgia, you've come to the right place. Wayne's World, directed by Penelope Spheeris, screens at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13. And what do you know, April 13 also happens to be "Record Store Day!
