Alamo Drafthouse's free teacher appreciation days extended through August

Update July 5, 11 a.m.: Dallas-Fort Worth Alamo Drafthouse locations have extended their Teacher Appreciation Wednesdays promotion through the end of August.

The same rules apply: Take your faculty or employee ID to the theater box office at any time on Wednesday and you'll get into a regular show (no special events) for free.

You now have fewer excuses to go see the new Spider-Man (or whatever you're in the mood for).

Original story: In case you missed it (because we did), teachers and school faculty members have another reason to celebrate the summer break. They can take advantage of Free Teacher Wednesdays at D-FW Alamo Drafthouse locations throughout the month of June.

Unless they're boycotting the theater chain for all-women screenings of Wonder Woman, anybody with a faculty or employee ID from any school or university can get in to see any regularly priced movie for free at any time of the day on Wednesday. (Not valid for special events, like the aforementioned Wonder Woman screening.) The deal kicked off June 7 and is valid through June 28. One thing to note: You have to buy your tickets in-person at the box office, not online.
