Studio Movie Grill wants to find real heroines and send them to see 'Wonder Woman'

Dallas-based Studio Movie Grill and Warner Bros. are teaming up to find "Real Life Women Superheroes" ahead of the release of Wonder Woman, which hits theaters June 2.

People are invited to nominate a hero on the Studio Movie Grill website by explaining why their nominee is inspiring to them. According to the theater chain some of the people nominated so far "range from a Girl Scouts Troupe leader, to a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, to a retired Master Sargent from the U.S. Air Force, to university professors."

One woman from each of Studio Movie Grill's 11 markets (which includes Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston) will win an all-expense paid trip to Dallas for themselves and a guest, where they will be invited to a special red carpet, pre-release screening of Wonder Woman at the Studio Movie Grill Headquarters. Winners will also receive a "Opening Hearts and Minds" award and a $1,000 donation that will be made to the charity of their choice.

Or with:

"But wait," you say, "I already live in Dallas! Why do I need to win a trip to the city where I currently reside?" Don't worry, the D-FW winner still gets to take advantage of a paid night at a hotel, so that could make for a nice escape from home.

Studio Movie Grill is promoting the contest now as part of National Superhero Day (April 28), but nominations are open through Mother's Day (May 14). Hint hint, nudge nudge to those of you out there with heroic mothers.
