On this week's Big Screen podcast on KERA, we sit down with three-time Oscar winner Robert Benton.
Born in Oak Cliff, raised in Waxahachie, Benton got his start in movies co-writing the screenplay for Bonnie and Clyde.
He won Academy Awards for writing and directing Kramer vs. Kramer and Places in the Heart.
He'll be at the Dallas International Film Festival's opening night screening of the 1967 film, which was shot mostly in the Dallas area.
At 85, Benton remains a true Texas gentleman.
