'The Princess Bride' star Cary Elwes tells huge Dallas crowd, 'As you wish'

Thirty years after starring in The Princess Bride, Cary Elwes still causes hearts to flutter. Wednesday night the British actor headlined Arts & Letters Live at the Dallas Museum of Art. About 400 fans packed into the Horchow Auditorium, while an overflow crowd watched on a screen in the atrium of the adjoining Hamon Building.

With me as his questioner, Elwes led us on the journey recounted in his New York Times bestseller, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride.

The movie's final scene when he gave 20-year-old Robin Wright the passionate kiss that leaves all others behind? They got it one take.
