'Wreck-It Ralph 2' is officially coming to destroy the internet

We've known it for awhile (John C. Reilly hasn't been shy about discussing it), but today Disney officially announced that Wreck-It Ralph is getting a sequel.

They made the announcement via a Facebook Live video, at the end of which Reilly (who voices the titular Ralph) punched through a brick wall.

The plot? "Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the internet." Simple enough, but it's an idea that could lead to plenty of fun moments. I just hope they don't come at the expense of great video game character cameos, which were one of the best parts of the original movie.

Alongside Reilly, Sarah Silverman has reportedly signed on to return as Ralph's sidekick Vanellope (who you can see in the teaser image above).

The film is being directed by Rich Moore, who directed the first film (and is hot off the heels of the highly successful Zootopia) and Phil Johnston, who co-wrote the original.

"I'm looking forward to saying famous lines like, 'I'm gonna wreck it!'" Reilly said, jokingly.
