Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters -- and Madea, with her shotgun

The first trailer for Ghostbusters was released yesterday. Looks like fun.

Thirty years after the original, we get an all-women cast that looks as if they're having tons of fun. Especially Leslie Jones, who's walking through every scene with a big stick. The other members of the team -- Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon -- have some heavy lifting to do, if this trailer is any indication. And, look, it's a clean-shaven Chris Hemsworth!

I've always wanted a mashup of Madea and The Walking Dead and it seems all my dreams came true. She's walking the holidays down; this comes after Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas. Here's hoping the studio using one of those all-inclusive calendars.

The film comes to theaters on Oct. 21.

Other trailers released this week include the one for what's become a controversial Nina Simone biopic starring Zoe Saldana. I hope the spackle job they've done to darken Saldana's skin holds up better during the run time of the movie. Because in the Nina trailer, it's just plain annoying. There is a lot to unpack here, especially when you read about the outrage from the family of Simone, which has been and continues to be vocal about the choice of the actress for the role and the veracity of the film. Watch for yourself. The film is supposed to hit theaters in April. That's Oscar nominee David Oyelowo (Selma) playing against Saldana.
