Many people reportedly left the '13 Hours' premiere because the sound at AT&T Stadium was bad

According to some on the Internet, as many as "thousands" of people walked out of the premiere of Michael Bay's Benghazi-based film 13 Hours, but not because they were disappointed in the movie itself.

Jack FM published a story with the headline "Thousands Walk Out of ATT Stadium's World Premiere of 13 Hours," which doesn't actually provide a source for that number. They do, however, quote a variety of Facebook posts from angry attendees.

"Isaac Xochitl on Facebook says, 'Sound was really bad!! Walked out after 10 minutes!' Isaac wasn't the only one, Ken Krueger also said 'Epic fail at at&t stadium. People are leaving in droves. Can't hear a thing.'"

A comment on our own Facebook page tells the same story, telling us, "Sound Problems at screening... Mass exodus... Cannot understand any dialogue..." (Another, unrelated comment says it took two hours to get into the event in the first place.)

The Dallas Morning News' Arnessa Garrett, who was at the premiere, backs up the claim that the sound was bad but questions how many people fled in protest. "The sounds was bad, especially in the upper levels, but where I was, I didn't see anyone walk out. In fact, there were people still coming in after the movie started," she said.

Still, there's no doubt that there are people who are unhappy with how the event turned out and are willing to complain about it on social media.

One of the movie's stars, John Krasinski, must have had better seats, because all he can talk about today is how special last night was.
