Screen scene: Lifetime keeps up the angst with V.C. Andrews' "My Sweet Audrina"

And the hits keep on coming for Lifetime as the network digs a little deeper into its favorite author's works.

My Sweet Audrina (TV-14, 87 mins.) will rerun Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. on the network that's been home, sweet home, to the adaptations of the author's series that consists of Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday.

NTARUPT STUDENT FILM CONTEST Students have until tonight at 11:59 p.m. to enter the North Texas Alliance to Reduce Teen Pregnancy Student Film Contest. The inaugural contest is open to Dallas-area teens in high school. Students can submit two- to three-minute films about the messages they're receiving about sex and teen pregnancy. Industry professionals -- including Dallas Film Society leader Lee Papert and Dallas Contemporary senior curator Justine Ludwig -- will judge the competition. Cash prizes will go to the top three filmmakers, and the award-winning films will screen at the Ntarupt Student Film Festival in February at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station . The filmmakers also will get to participate in a panel discussion after the screening of each film. CINEMARK CLASSIC MOVIE SERIES The latest edition of the series begins with Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982, R, 117 mins.). The movie will screen Jan. 13 at 2 and 7 p.m. at Cinemark theaters across the country, including Cinemark 17 and Imax, 11819 Webb Chapel Road, Dallas. THE BIG MOVIE SERIES The Magnificent Seven (1960, 128 mins) will screen Jan. 12 at 7:30 and 10 p.m. at the Magnolia, 3699 McKinney Ave., Dallas. The film, a remake and resetting of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, is itself an inspiration for many films that followed. That includes one by the same name set to be released this year, starring Denzel Washington (St. Elsewhere) and Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) and directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day). $10. landmarktheatres.com.

DVD LOOKOUT Week of Jan. 11 -- Forget the collection's microaggressive name and get The Urban Film Collection for American Violet, which stars Nicole Beharie (Sleepy Hollow) and Alfre Woodard (True Blood, 12 Years a Slave) and is based on a true Texas story of a wrongly accused and arrested single black mother.
